The ensemble was invited to perform both due to it's image as an ensemble representing the ethnic diversity of Bosnia-Herzegovina and because of the high quality of the music they offer. The group previously performed at a UN Conference in Sarajevo last fall and was received with great enthusiasm by all who attended.
On the 23rd the group will perform a mixture of regional and international music. Pieces like "Jovano Jovanke" and "Sitno Kolo" will represent the Balkans while Piazolla's "Chiquilin de Bachin" and Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" will offer international flavors and reflect the group's versatility.
It is very exciting for the Winds of Change to be offered opportunities to perform for new audiences and keeps the musicians fresh and ready for whatever tour they will embark upon next!
